Size for bathroom vent cover

I have a 2019 Sabre 30RLT not even a year old and the bathroom vent/fan cover has already deteriorated. Does anyone know the model or size I can buy to replace this? Or, is there one that is universal to fit? Preferably one that lasts longer than a year... Thank you for your help.

I see there is multiple sizes, any idea on the size? Also, it be nice if they sell one that doesn't break so easily.

As far as size you would need to measure yours and material wise I believe they are pretty much all the same. Usually last for years or at least mine have.
A vent cover is also nice , protects it from the sun and it can be left open during rain , etc.

Your vent cover is a Heng's 90110-C1, 14”x14”. They cost anywhere from $14.00 to $25.00 and take minimal effort and skill to replace. All you should need for tools is a #2 Phillips head screwdriver, and maybe a vacuum cleaner to clean up the stuff that comes out of the ceiling while you are replacing it.

Start inside by removing the four screws that hold the trim flange to the ceiling, crank the vent open about half way, then remove the screw in the center of the crank handle. Pull the crank handle off. Now, remove the two screws that hold the screen flange in place. Pull down to remove the screen. Remove the two screws that hold the crank mechanism in place to the metal frame, then slide the arm that connects the crank to the lid over to the round part of the slot on the metal piece connected to the lid so you can detach the arm from the lid. Now, go on the roof with your new cover. Take the old cover off by sliding it off of the hinge — it should slide off either way with no tools (unless somebody bent the retaining tabs at the ends of the female part of the hinge attached to the cover, but they probably didn’t). If the tabs have been bent, just bend one of them back out of the way with a wide flat screwdriver, then slide the cover off, but I really don’t think you will have to do this. Now, slide the new cover onto the hinge attached to the frame. Now, the most important part is to chuck the old cover off of the roof onto the ground so you can watch it shatter into a million pieces. Go back inside and put it all back together in the reverse order of how you took it apart.

Easy!

“Deteriorated”, maybe... but that’s how mine looked after being hit by hailstones.

Thanks for your help, below is the cover which is a 14" x 14". Camco sells one on Amazon for around $17 and they claim it doesn't break, so we'll see. Forest River needs to spend the extra $5 and put a quality vent on the roof. That's pretty ridiculous as this could've caused a flood in our unit.

Forest River needs to upgrade all of the exterior plastic on their units, including vents, outside lights, gutter extensions, range-hood vent, outlet covers, and more. They all turn yellow in a year and turn to powder in a few more years.

There are plastic resins (molding source material) that are UV-resistant. Forest River needs to simply put that requirement in their purchase specifications.

Size for bathroom vent cover

I had to replace mine 4 months ago. I found a sticker on the vent module with the manufacturer's name and model number and called the manufacturer and they gave me the part number for the vent cover. I then ordered the part from amazon.com and installed it. Another option is to examine the hinge as that is the key for the proper fit. Then you might find a universal replacement that matches the kind of hinge on the original. Good luck.

The vent cover you have linked to has the correct hinge for your application.

Roof vent covers

Bruce did a great job describing the fix. I did it awhile back myself & I'm a female. I took pics for each step as I went along & just logiced my way through.

I'm in Florida & the intense sun makes mincemeat out of mine. Have replaced twice in 4 yrs. We just ordered 3 Maxxair vent covers to put over the ones you pictured. Best price -Camping World on-line w/Good Sam discount = $22.07 each, no shipping cost.

These go over the other vents & allow you to leave other vent open, even in rain, while protecting from sun. Much heavier plastic. Black or white.

What a Horrible job of sealing around the vent !!! But Normal !!!
I would start be adding sealer so as to fill the low spots next to the vent !
Water should be able to run away from the vent
The vent cover on our Sunseeker lasted about 3 years, all setting outdoors,
It was so gone you could stick your finger right thru it !!!
Before I replaced the new vent cover, I took the time to put about 5 coats of GOOD White Exterior Paint on the vent cover !!!

As others stated make sure you get the correct hinge as well as size. There are a couple different ones.

We replaced with polycarbonate covers so they should hold up much better.

Also have the camco covers to put over them so we can open in the rain etc if needed and have another layer of protection.
