small pin holes in awning
i purchased a new 2014 Cherokee 274dbh in spring of 2015. I noticed 2 small pin holes in awning closest to rv side. took unit back for warranty was told something rubbed the holes in the awning and is my responsibility to repair. which is odd to me because unit was never parked under anything for the 3 trips I had unit but anyway I'm asking what is the best way to repair this awning. thanks for any help

Just use awning repair tape. Cut to and inch or so bigger than the hole(s) and round the corners. I did that on my Grey Wolf and it lasted for 2 years. On my Columbus, I had a 8' tear in the awning at the roller end and the tape was perfect for several months then it got replaced.

Always check the awnings before rolling them up. A small pebble or acorn dropped by an bird will cause a hole when rolled up and vibrated during travel.

Is the leak in the seams? I've used paraffin wax to seal seam leak. Or a seam sealer for tents will work to.
.Will work on any pin hole leak in the awning.

As mentioned, awning tape works well. I'm not sure how big your "pin holes" are?
There is also some brush on fabric/vinyl repair stuff out there too.
Others have suggested possible reasons for the holes.
Here's another... campfire sparks.
My uncle had to replace his awning because the neighboring campsite had a bonfire instead of a campfire.

REF: Pinholes in Awning
Not having seen them, I suspect campfire sparks, I did that to mine and that's how it looks, tiny pin size holes, they don't leak so I just ignore them. I'm sure the tape mentioned will work, AMAZON also sells vinyl tape that I know would also work, comes in many colors, put a small piece top/bottom and it should work.

in the north country we get ice and snow that causes more damage. take a plastic putty knife and some roof sealer on the blade and squeeze it into the hole. then flatten out the other side. then use the awning tape to cover it. when you look up you wont see daylight over the same pin holes you first saw

I've used this on my old pop up that had vinyl cover when it would get pinched putting it up and taking it down. Even bird poop will eat pin holes in it. Just a dab on the pin hole and it dries fast. I also had some stuff in a jar I bought at the camping store that had a brush applicator and even patched the roof leak in the rain dried in a few minutes and no unsightly patch.

Holey Awning
If you're the first owner and noticed the holes within a couple months after purchase and you have all the warranties, I guess the dealer is greedy. By the way who's the dealer?
