Trailer stickers coming out

Hi all

The stickers of the name “Wolf Pup” in the front of my 2016 trailer are detaching, see photo. No other sticker seem to have any problem, which make me think there was something wrong with these specific stickers.

Any case what would you guys suggest? If I peel them off there will be a slight difference in the color underneath, so I’m afraid it’s going to be pretty visible. Does anybody know if FR sells those stickers? (...better yet, they should give them out for free...)

I'm sure you can get them from Forest River...

If they don't give them to you free and you don't want to buy them, then at least it will still say 'Wolf Pup' on the front of your trailer!

My 2013 rockwood did that and I hit tem with the water hose through a spray nozzle and it instantly peeled the letters right off. Left a neat shadow effect of the letters "ROCKWOOD" visible in the paint. People were asking me where I got that done. Sold it like that and new owner liked it. Just an idea.

In your Nevada sun, if you don't cover it or use Aerospace 303 on the decals, they'll end up like yours.
I lived in California and my new HTT's decals were trashed in just two years, because I did neither.

I actually DO cover it during the winter... Clearly not enough...

Check with a local vinyl sign shop. You'd be surprised what they can print and at a reasonable cost.

I like it too but I'd like it a whole lot better if they identified themselves as something other than Forest River. (or ES_FR)

Brian Clemens does.

Having accurate contact information goes a L-O-N-G way in keeping track of issues/responses.

Probably caused by not cleaning the surface at the factory before applying the stickers.

I don't know if that is the issue...

It seems that there was an era (about 4-8 years ago) that had a rash of stickers peel or fade amongst all of the different brands of RV's.

I'm guessing a printing error or a materials defect.

Yes, it can be done, but beware cost savings- the vinyls with the best life (uv resistance) are also the most costly. We are considering the same- i.e. replace original. We just need the artwork for the sign shop.

Cheers

Removed my Surveyor decals (2005). Compounded and waxed the area and you'd be hard pressed to the difference.

I'd pull the stickers off and leave them off. And pull the Forrest River name off... they didn't pay you to tow around an advertising board.

Have you used any solvent based cleaners?
Anyway, I was going to suggest the same as RVPP wrote. Peal them off and use some polishing compound and you might be surprised to see the shadows disappear. If not completely, in time they will.

I had the same issue with our Rockwood 8289. The unit was 1 1/2 years old, went to wash it and was wetting it down to wash when our front decal on one side started to peel back. I was able to put it back in place. When I showed the dealer, they sent it to Forest River. The response back was that it wasn't covered. A new decal set was going to be $900.00. I'm just careful now when washing, so far they haven't lifted.

The letters on my 2017 CHEROKEE are doing the exact same thing. I leave her in storage at the campground in Myrtle Beach so she is exposed to the elements of nature. I contacted Forest River and they told me I could order a new decal from any Forest River dealer. I'm waiting until next Spring to pull the old decal off and replace it. The decal for mine is one piece, not individual letters like I thought they were. I have no idea what the cost will be.

This person’s real name has been in his profile. Is it gone?

I've never seen it the couple times I've visited their public profile.
Maybe you can see something we can't being part of the site team?
