Underbelly plastic shredding

We have a '17 Wildwood 17RB...the plastic that covers the wood floor bottom is coming off as we travel...can it be removed? Should the raw wood be painted or sealed...we have tried to staple it back up and used gorilla tape...not going to last long...any suggestions would be appreciated

Could you post a picture? Might help understand what the material you're dealing with looks like.

If I'm right it looks like black woven tarp material.

If you remove it, you should coat the wood with something. Maybe even spray-on bed liner.

Find sheets of clorplast and upgrade to an enclosed underbelly

Sealing with bedliner product doesn't sound too bad....or roof coating ... I tried to Google clorplast...nothing came up on that...ok see it is coroplast....plastic sheeting...could also work...thanks all...any other suggestions are welcomed

Stuff is also known as Polypropylene Fluted Sheet

Here's one source for 48"X96" sheets

They're showing it in white but a phone call could find out if they also have Black which is std on FR products.

A hint if you plan on covering the underbelly. First install some 1"X2" furring strips between the flanges of the frame so you have more places to secure it and be sure and use LARGE fender Washers so the sheet doesn't pull off the screw heads.

Home Depot around here stocks the white panels and can order the black. So check with your local big box store. Also it's the same stuff they make yard signs out of (like campaign signs, just cut into smaller squares). Sign shops buy it by the roll so that may be a possible source also.

I do know that Lippert will sell it. A complete roll to redo my 246RKS underbelly was only like $140. They were the least expensive option for me, but they did some warranty work where I had to take the underbelly off and reinstall it so I may have received a break on the price (cost?).
