We have a 2013 Coachmen Freedom Express toy hauler. The underside of the trailer is coveted with a corrugated cover. Is there a purpose for the covert?

On some rv's it is used to keep the holding tanks warm in freezing temperatures by trapping the warm air from the furnace. Though not by much it, does help insulate and keep the floor warmer.

Also helps keep rodents and insects out, protects the wiring, etc... Should be sealed at the frame and any penetrations for pipes should be foamed with a black UV resistant urethane foam (think Great Stuff, but in black and UV resistant - and yes, Great Stuff makes it).
