Mud flaps oughta be standard. That way crap keeps off the rear stab jacks.

That is the first thing I did, adding flaps front and rear of the tires to keep stuff off of the jacks, plumbing and steps.

Local auto parts store. $16 for a single semi truck mud flap. Cut in half with a razor blade knife, cut to length (20 inches in my case), stainless steel self tappers with fender washers, also stainless. Done. Last trip out I had to power wash cow **** off of my rear stab jacks. Never again!

they also should have good metal fenders over the wheels to protect unit from blowouts instead of 1/8 luan . to me that's more important then a few rock chips

We don't get the horse exhaust so much. The wild horse herds are in mostly roadless areas. Ranchers run cattle on BLM and Forest Service land, so we run into cow **** when camping on public land.
