Vent Cover

I have the 2021 Grey Wolf 25RRT. I went on the roof to mount a Campco vent cover over the bathroom fan. Unlike the YouTube videos, the fan is plastic. There are also 4 tabs on the roof that prevent the cover from being lowered to the proper level. RV service said they do not make the older models of the vent that mount to the tabs. A 2021 doesn't seem old, but what do I know? Anywho, has anyone cut these tabs and mounted a cover to the plastic fan housing? Does anyone carry the "old" vent covers?
