Water leak at pass thru

I have a 2013 Shasta Revere 27bh which we love but during a severe rainstorm found water in the front bedroom where the closet meets the wall/floor. upon investigation I found water inside the front pass thru compartment on that side and in fact the wall board was pulled away so it had obviously been a problem in the past ( didn't notice when we bought trailer).However I am at a loss as to where it's coming in, there was some gaps in the caulking around the compartment door but the front seam on the outside seems sound and there is no sign of water damage inside the closet or on the seam inside the compartment.It almost seems to be running up over the lip in the front of the compartment which makes no sense but water does lay there we find.Has anyone has similar leaks or any ideas how to trace the leak would be appreciated.Since the first occasion water hasn't made it into the trailer itself but the front of the compartment has been wet several times.
