what sealant do i need for screw?

Hi,

I unscrewed the outside shower bracket and now I wanted to put it back in. I heard that I need to put some sealant or some liquid into the hole before i screw it in? if that is the case can someone recommend what I need to purchase?

This is what I got for the outside cover. so I just put a little bit of this inside the hole and screw it in?
