Add Additional Window to TT Sidewall

Hello Window Installer Experts !!

I am exploring the possibility of adding one or more small (~12"x16") windows on a sidewall of an rPod 176 to increase natural ventilation at one end of the trailer.

I am confident that I can install the window properly. What I am concerned about is proper window placement such that I don't run into some wall substructure, like metal framing, when I cut the hole for the window.

What is the best way to ensure I don't make a BIG mistake? Use a stud finder? Contact Forest River?

Thank you, Bob in Grand Rapids MI

Locating wall framing with a stud finder is one way. Another way, if your RV has a smooth outer skin, is to wait for a cold morning when there is condensation on the exterior, and often you can see from the moisture pattern where the framing is in the wall.
