I was closing the front share on our 2018 FR3 30DS and I noticed this witch on the driver side in the crease where the shade actually rises up and down. The black piece looks like a switch that can be depressed. Lucky it doesn’t appear to be a self destruct button since I pushed it and I am still able to make this post. Anyone recognize what this does? TIA.

Maybe a limit switch for the shade. Was anyone sitting in the passenger seat when you pushed it?

They are called "Learning Keys" and are for setting the upper and lower limits of travel of the shade with the ignition key off or on. If you have both day and night shades you will have 2 of them.
