AP Products Slim Shade

I need to replace the plastic frame around one my door windows and stumbled across this:
https://www.amazon.com/AP-Products-1.../dp/B01MRRNQNP

Has anyone installed the slim shade? If so, how well does it fit/work? Does the replacement glass and frame have a good seal?

Thanks!

I installed the Slim Shade and the tinted window that comes in the kit. Here is my initial review:

The only bad review I really saw on Amazon is that it doesn't come with instructions. A quick google search solved that problem.

The other complaint online is that you need to open the door to lift or lower the shade cause of the screen door. There is no way around that issue...just deal with it.

I did the install at the lot where I store my trailer with basic hand tools. An extra set of hands would have been helpful, but still easy enough with one person. The only pointer I would give is to use a small amount of tape (you won't be able to see it when the install is complete) to hold the shade inside the clips while you secure the frames together with the screws otherwise the shade will keep popping out when you lift the window and frame.

After it is all said and done I'm pretty happy with it. It looks way better than the standard window with the foils insert I previously had. Now I just need to get one for the other door. I'll post pictures later.

I installed two a couple of weeks ago. To me, it would be perfect if you could raise & lower without opening the door... but, since all RVs have the screen inside the door that isn't really possible. Otherwise, I think it is fantastic! My wife, who thinks I spend too much on add-ons, loved the new windows & shades in the doors. On the other hand... I have two regular obscured glass windows available at a great price.

The key for removing and installing the window frame and glass is using tape to hold things in place. The dark tint on the SlimShade glass matches my existing windows perfectly. The last picture is looking through the tinted glass-- unfortunately, not much of a view inside my storage building.

I installed by myself in about an hour. The photo below of the old window being removed shows the window taped to the frame and the frame taped to the door. The same thing is necessary for putting in the new window. That's the key bit that is really important on the installation.

It would be nice if they offered different colors for the shade so you can get what matches the other shades in the trailer, I only found black and the shades on the windows in my trailer are brown. Only a minor issue though. Now I need to tint the rest of my windows so they all match.

We installed the window and at first it was a problem with the screen door. Since it is on our bedroom door and we don't normally leave this door open, I just removed the screen from the top portion off the door and I love it.
