Awning Application Chart ???

All,
Does anyone know of an awning application chart, or do the awning companies rely solely on customer measurements?

I want to price check a slide out awning and install, but the dealer said they'd have to measure it and figure out the size of the awning before they'd give me a price. I thought if I could get the proper size ahead of time, maybe I could get a price before I hauled it down there.

FWIW, it's a 2015 Wildwood 26TBSS.

Thanks.

Measure from the front edge of the slide to the back edge of the slide and that's the length you need.

I thought I read to add 6", then round up to the next whole even number, or something weird like that.

What they do is send the piece bigger then what you measured. Then they cut it with scissors to the exact size that you need I gave them my measurements as stated above. Both came and had to be cut to size. I just I had 2 replaced last week. If a dealer is doing it, they have a big roll and cut it off as needed. The problem is when you get it from them and not the dealer they fold it up and it is hell tiring to get the crinkles out. This per the head man at the rally a MR. AL McQuire who looked at mine, and told me what to expect. They sent the ones I measured about 4" longer then needed. That's after they re measured mine themselves one at 117" and one at 158" if I remember right. It's easier to cut them. If it's to short someone will eat it and it will not be them....My point is to add the 6" that you read somewhere it's probably correct....Good luck. save the old ones they make a great picnic table cover or a ground cover if you have to crawl under your trailer for any reason.

If you read the OP's original post, he is trying to buy the complete unit, not just the replacement material.

Your correct but I just looked up my size 158" they recommend 168" awning, that would be 5" over hang on each side. I personally would not want a topper hanging over 5" on each side. OP should just call dometic and give them the edge to edge measurement that it has to cover.
