Awning attachment

I just noticed that the awning was beginning to pull away from the side of the trailer, any suggestions on the best way to re-attach it?

A photo would help a lot! If the awning fabric its self is tearing. The fabric needs to be replaced. If the awning cord is coming out of the track? I would shove it back in and carefully close the track down around the cord. If the metal awning track is pulling away from the roof, then the fabric needs to be removed and the fasteners that attach the track to the roof need to be repaired or replaced. A leaking rotten roof might allow the metal track fasteners to pull loose. If the arms are pulling loose, longer screws might help unless the wood holding them is rotten too.

It would be nice if you list the year, make and model number of your RV in your profile. There may be someone on the forum with the same problem and can tell you what they had done. If the RV is new take it to the dealer for repairs under warranty. If you bought it used have you been on the roof to check the condition? There are so many variables that pictures will help others know exactly what your problem is.

Awning separation

The first 12-18”(front) of the awning has started to pull away from the side of the trailer.
This can be seen on the attached photo.
Thanks for any suggestions.
The trailer is just over 1 year old, so I doubt if this would be covered by a warranty.

No photo attached. Also, most campers come with a two year warranty, and some even come with a three year warranty.

I'm with Splitshaft and (sight unseen) am leaning towards a roof leak that has caused the wood to rot behind the awning mount.

Awning attachment

Thx for the reply. I am still waiting on a call back from Forest River. In the meantime, i removed the two #10 screws that were coming out and replaced them with #12 sheet metal screws, added one more screw and siliconed the attachment points. Hope this will work. I am ataching a photo for your info.
