Awning beginning to rip

I discovered a rip in my awning where it attaches to the trailer. About 2". I am sure it happened this weekend when a storm rolled in out of nowhere and I had removed my tie downs for the guy mowing. Went swimming and could not get back quick enough to retract. Lesson learned for me.

Should I go ahead and replace the fabric? I'm worried it will continue to rip.

I had a similar problem, I had enough material to sew it with fishing line and the gorilla tape on top. Is holding well. Good luck

Sewing it with fishing line is a great idea! I will need to check if I have enough material to attach into but it would be a cheap fix if that's the case. Thanks jgahlhoff!
