Mine is like that too, they even replaced the awning material but I blame the tube not being straight, it does not matter about the temp it always wrinkles FR would not replace the tube because it was not bent enough, lesson for the next time.

Is it straight on the roller? if you do not rivet the ends of the fabric on the tube, it can wander off center and bunch up. there is a few posts on the subject. Usually the awning arms will start to bind also.

Is this electric or manual?

electric. its the second time the awning as been replaced. It still wrinkles. I think it might be the track that is curved.

There should be a manual pull strap that you can attach if you loose power. Try using that and pull back on it to apply pressure as the awning rolls up. Maybe that will tighten it up.

Mine does the-------------

Mine does the same thing, it is 20' long and I contribute it to the tube sagging because of the length and weight of the tube.

Mine is also 20' and it doesn't do that. Can you try to roll it the opposited way, in ours, when I keep the switch pressed to open the awning it comes back different when it reach the end. (Keeping the button pressed)
Maybe others know how to explain that better, lol
My camper is 5 months old and we are still figuring it out!

loose awning

Mine to my 20 ' dometic electric awning is downright loose and sloppy as i walk around the campground i see a lot of other dometic awnings with very tight awnings. Due to winds i am not able to check the awning but will when i get home next week

Mine does not as well, stop switch, it is only 16 feet and rolls tight.

Is that awning extra heavy?

Well, I guess mine is damaged. Lol!
When I open the awning and it has reached all the way, it keeps on rolling but then it goes backwards until it reaches the camper again. In other words, it keeps rolling and closes the awning backwards, and it looks all wrinkled.

(It doesn't stop at one end, only when it's back/closed to the camper)

The awning on ours is an LCI Solera and it doesn't stop, according to the manual it is normal operation. HC
