On most, there should be a small gap where they put sealant behind the channel before bolting it to the side. In my case, I was able to "sneak" a piece of velcro behind and wrap around the arm to hold it against the channel.

Awning fell off on highway.

I had the same thing happened where my awning came off on the highway. The problem with my awning was is a pin came out where it's connected to the motor. Forest River Center was an act of God. The pictures that were taking and shown to Forest River showed that the pin holding the Motor Inn came out. The awning that I had those Dometic.
