Sometimes I will not extend the awning all the way because of trees and branches from the tree that will interfere with the awning.

My awning is put in every night and when we leave the trailer. Also during rain storms or high winds the awning is closed up. I have seen too many awnings destroyed by the elements when owners were a way or a rain storm blows up out west real quick.
