Awning just shot craps

Started to put the awning out and it started out, then started jerking, stopping, jerking and finally deployed. Tried to put it in and it started and got about halfway in and started jerking and stopped. Got the ladder out and with the remote finally got it stowed by pressing the remote and rolling it in by hand. I guess I'll have to use the motor I've been carrying around for 4 yrs as the motor end on the one that's on it is loose and I can see that it's worn where it goes into the arm. Now I wish we were going to Goshen. BUT...

New battery and it does the same using the rocker switch. I can lift the awning tube about 1/16"-1/8" in the motor end. When I change it out, I'll take it apart (naturally) and see what's shot.

Hate it that your awning went kaput, but you'll enjoy "dissecting" the old parts.

Goshen? pffftttt you couldn't stand to look at it that long, you'll probably have it fixed up and a diagnosis of the old part by noon tomorrow.
