Awning mount

2021 Grey Wolf 26DBH-L
What's behind the rear awning mount at the top? We went to put the awning in and notice it seemed to bounce. Looking up, the bolts were ripped out of the mount at the top. I tried putting them back in but the holes are too big now. Could I just get bigger screws and sealant? It doesn't seem like they attach to anything but sheet metal.

Welcome to the forum its a great place to get your questions answered lost my first answer to this question for some reason. Yes larger screws may work if they will fit thru the bracket. Regardless of the fix sealant is required on the screws. Another method much more involved is to remove the awning fill the holes with wooden dowel and glue and pop rivet a small sheet metal patch over the area drill a small pilot hole and then one the size required for the screw and reattach the awning. there will many recommendation for filling the hole so read carefully. good luck
