Awning Needs Help

May awning does not row up even on both sides. That makes the awning arms not lay up next to the camp on one side. It just started doing this. So the awning flops back and to, when I'm moving. Want can I do to correct this.

This sounds like the awning fabric on the roller tube has shifted from the center of the fabric on the camperís wall.

Full extend the awning to the point of over extending it. Stand on a ladder at one end- firmly grasp the awning fabric and shove the tube away from you (this will slide the fabric on the tube).

Roll the awning up and see if itís now centered. Repeat as necessary (possibly switching sides as needed).

Some people will then run a screw or pop rivet through the fabric and into the roller tube. I had a RV tech try that and it actually prevented my awning from rolling up. I just readjust it periodically.

Awning sag

I complained about that very same thing, and was told my awning had stretched. since the rig was only 6 months old, FR and the dealer are changing it for a new one. Perhaps the sun of summer and weight of the roller arm caused it to stretch.
Who knows, Just glad to get it replaced. Cheap plastic crap anyway.
