We have a 2018 831CLBSS and this is what I just installed for our awning LED strip light. I had to find the master control box to access the power and ground leads for the light. Once I found the right wires the install went well. I added the third switch to control the entry light. I took the entry light and the awning light off of the touch pad, and now they work from the new switch and not the touch pad.
I used this triple switch in place of the two switch combo. The left one is for the 2 LEDs closest to the front sink area. The middle one is for the other living room lights. The right side one now controls the entry light in the hallway.
I used this dimmer switch. It is a rotating dial, from off to full brightness.
I mounted the triple switch and dimmer where the double switch was for the kitchen and living room switch was.
This is the master control panel. It is connected to the touch pad with the blue computer cable. It is located behind the fireplace, on the wall. I had to take out the radio/DVD player to access it. Pulled off the cover to get to the wires, they are listed by number for what they control, power in, power out. They use common ground white wires.
Both the 3 toggle switch and the dimmer switch are from Amazon.
