Awning Problem - Question

Some how the pull-strap to deploy my awning is full extended but the awning is only half way out? I think I know what I have to do but I'm wondering if anyone else has fixed something similar?

Thanks,
Rich

Is that the new configuration for manual awnings?

I'm not sure how it got like it did (in the photo) but to fix it I got up on a tall ladder and manually turned the awning with both hands to open it all the way while unwinding the strap as I went. Once its opened all the way then all is good again. Hope this makes sense.

Just a comment. The pull down strap should be in the middle of the awning tube for pull down and retract but maybe it was when you started and this is a moot point.

The strap came from the factory mounted on the end.

Should be able to slide it through a groove to the middle.

Your awning's manual should have instructions.
Mine did.
Or go to the manufacturer's website and download a manual.
