Awning replacement

Hello all...

We are replacing the awning on our Forest river Cardinal 5th wheel this season. I have done awnings before so installation is not the issue. My wife wants one thats not white on the underside as it seems all are that way. Anybody else buy one not white underneath? If so where from.

Ours is predominantly black with a bit of white. It is from Dometic and factory installed. My slide toppers are black and we’re dealer ordered. If you checkout the Dometic website you can see the colors.

Many of the 'fabric' (not vinyl) style awnings are not white underneath. It is the same fabric top and bottom.

Several of my Carefree awnings (vinyl) have had only a small white strip near the top towards the attaching point of the R/V. The rest of the awning (lower portion) was the same color on the bottom as on the top.

We ordered an all black top and bottom replacement awning through CW - replaced the factory version that was white on underside

All black matches our slide toppers - much easier to keep clean also

When you order they ask you the “awning” size not “fabric” size - be clear to them what size you really want - took them 3 tries for us because they wouldn’t listen when I was exactly specific on the “fabric” size I wanted but it finally worked out

I need to replace our awning fabric this spring also. Which is better-vinyl or fabric?
