Awning will not close on bottom of one arm.

On domtic 9000 power awning arm on door side, will not close tight against trailer on bottom , top is closed tight as is top and bottom of other arm.I would like to know if there is an adjustment. There is about a 2" gap I can push arm in but it bounces back out.

I don't have that model but it sounds like the gas strut on that side may be too strong or not the right one.

Are you tightening the adjusting knobs (if equipped) before closing?

9100 is power awning

My rear arm has been bent by gust of wind while working on another problem. The bent arm is doing exactly what you are describing now and did not look that way before last week. Wish I did have the manual 9000 awning that is stronger.

My back arm is doing the same thing because I closed it once with the rear door grab rail folded against the trailer and bent the arm sightly. now when closed the bottom sticks out about 2" I solved the problem by mounting a small bungee cord in the two holes at the bottom of the mounting bracket and put it around the bottom of the arm to hold it in. If I forget to remove them when opening it just pops off the arm. I could not find any adjustments to make up the difference
