Awning won't extend

Next Problem:

When I press the button to extend the awning I hear a "click" but it won't extend!
Nothing was done on it....

Any help ?

Is the clicking coming from the awning motor if so you might try to pull out on the awning while someone hits the switch and see if it moves. Just a thought

Do you have the control panel with mechanical rocker switches or the one with the touch pad? The touch pad uses relays to control the voltage to the motor and may be the 'click' you are hearing.

Have you checked for voltage?
Do you own a multimeter and know how to use it?

X2. It is possible that that the support is jammed into the channel. The motor spring could have been over-clocked when the awning was last retracted. At any rate the awning will have to be pulled out manually (consult the manual), as the wiring to the motor is located inside the tubular channel.
