Baggage compartment latch broken door shut

I have a 2001 Georgetown and have a bagage compartment door with a broken latch. What kind of latch is it and is there a way to open it? I have searched but can not find this type of latch.

I found a replacement latch. I just need to find out how to open the broken latch.

I would try a thin flatbar below the door. Sliding it in against the latch striker and gently prying.
