My $.02 worth is yes the OP should put a complaint in with NHTSA. That is the only way the RV industry in itself is going to shape up is when the government starts watching. Forest River went through this with poor steps from Coach Step (Lippert) on class A's that were breaking and enough folks complained to NHTSA that a recall was ordered,
To the post regarding "lot" management of parts being used, hey the people putting together our beloved RV's aren't making the money auto workers are getting. They're lucky if they're making $15 an hour, or the same money some politicians want McDonald's workers to make. I don't think they give a hoot what bucket of parts they are given to install. They do as they are instructed with what they are supplied with.
