Converting a screen to a window

We have a 2014 Forest River Sunseeker 2650 and would like to replace the bottom screen on the screen door with a window. We have been unable to find this type of upgrade. Anyone know where to buy a window or have suggestions on how to change it from a screen to a window?

Would it be possible to share a photo of the screen that you wish to replace? It may help get assistance.

I’m pretty sure most screen doors on Sunseekers and Foresters are the same.
I already have a version of what you’re asking, and I know why I did ours.
What are you trying to accomplish with a window instead of the screen?

You might try your local dealer, but it's possible that what you want might not be available. If you're concerned about a pet getting out of that screen, they do make metal guards to install over the screen.
If you just want to make it so that you can see out of the bottom portion...
You could try having a piece of plexiglass cut to fit that space.

Welcome to the forum!

Could always goto Lowes and have them cut some plexiglass to fit and mount it in place.

If I was going to mount in place I would have it cut to fit just inside and get washers and put one on the outside and inside and then run a small bolt through and that would hold the plexiglass in place.

That screen door is not going to hold the weight of glass.

Yup. I did Lexan on the lower panel to guard against the pet ruining the screen. Plexiglass is possibly cheaper but can shatter if broken. Not safe.

The screen has come loose and feel this will continue to happen with entering and exiting the motorhome. We prefer a clear view so the screen protector isn't the best option. The Lexan option may be the best route to take so now we just need to figure out how to install and secure it.
