Dometic 9100 black awning paint

Has anyone on this forum painted their Dometic 9100 black awning support arms? If so, what paint did you use? Satin black? Did it stick ok?

Mine are definitely gloss black. If I was to redo them I would probably use Krylon Fusion gloss black. I would also lightly sand before painting.
