Is this a new issue?
My prior Flagstaff had two awnings, the main and the patio awning on the slide.
The bigger, main awning adjusted pretty easily from full arm extension and overcoming the gas shocks. I think that had something to do with the increased weight of a longer roller and more fabric.
The smaller, slide awning always took more effort to overcome the gas shocks. I'd have to grab and pull really hard on the arm to put some tilt in the awning from full extension.
