I am always envy when I camp, but the poles were icing on the cake!!! I left mine out for 2 weeks straight and others had theirs rolled up because of the winds. We had winds in excess of 40mph and it stayed great!

Spoke with Angie and Teresa at the recall Center today and both were excellent and EXTREMELY helpful. A huge thank you to both for saving my holiday. Well done ladies. A pleasure to deal with good people who care.
Cheers
Paul

I bought a Vengance toy hauler and my Dometic awning hardly has enough power to close its self. I always have to help it! Is my problem the same as the ones in this thread?

How old is the camper, Dometic has a recall on the awning motors If your coach was produced between February 13, 2013, serial #305xxxxxx through April 9, 2013, serial #314xxxxxx and has a Dometic power awning, you may want to check with Dometic.
The issue is that the awning could deploy either standing still or while driving.

That information is partially true, the S/Ns affected are between 306xxxxx and 314xxxxx for only 9100 and WeatherPro Awnings, and on motors manufactured between 2/13/13 and 4/9/13. To verify that your awning is affected for sure, please call 888-447-0003, option 1 and we will help you determine this. If your awning is NOT affected, but the motor still does not close your power awning, then there is some other issue and you should call warranty at 800-544-4881.

I lost the motor on my one 9100 series a few days ago, and I'm in the High Sierra's on vacation - to make a long story short, Dometic has arranged for a mobile service to come to my campsite by the end of this week and replace both awning motors as they are both in the recall listing- now that's what I call customer service !!
I'll let you all know how it turns out- Happy Trails!

I love Dometic customer service!! They are the best! They had an electrician come to our camp sight to install a new Dometic blower mother on our fireplace! They were great! They do stand behind their warranties!!

Oh that's odd!! I have a 2012 XLR and I use it daily! So far it has been so great to use a switch to expand and retract! I hope this one is your last fix!!

Now you need to have Kenny add the remote control to it.

I had one with the recall! It showed no signs of failing, it just stopped working and made clicking sound. Lazydays replaced it.
I only deployed it twice at home. Good thing it didn't happen while camping.

Yep, plus Ron gave me some info regarding converting my 'fridge to an adjustable temp unit via an aftermarket circuit board once the unit is out of warranty...nice to have info like that tucked away.
Happy Trails all,
