Door lock recall, anyone else have a problem?

Got the trailer a week ago, checked the door key for the recall information and found out I fell within the recall.

Emailed the information for the replacement parts and received them with in 3 days, pretty impressive turn around time considering the holiday mail overload.

I inserted the Blue Took Key and after a few tires I did get the tumbler to pull free on the lower dead bolt.

However, I can't for the life of me get the top paddle tumble to release and pull free.

Any suggestions?

Thanks in advance,

Instructions say to have the key slot in the 12 O'clock position, insert the blue key and pull the tumbler out......anyone find that a different position is required to release the tumbler?

I just did this awhile back I did have to wiggle the door lock tumbler some but it was not a lot.
have you tried spraying some WD-40 or liquid wrench in it?

Work it left and right full turns with the regular key.

I had to run out and pick up a package and when I got back I jumped out of my truck went over to the RV, stuck the blue tool key in the cylinder and it pulled right out. Guess I wasn't biting down on my tongue just right the first dozen times that I tried to remove it.
Sometimes there is just no reason for how things happen, they just do I guess.

Yep - sometimes you just got to take a break when something isn't going right.

When you come back, everything just falls right into place.

I just got mine changed about two weeks ago and had the same issue but found if you insert the removal key you have to insert it completely and wait a few seconds jiggle slightly and slowly pull the tumblers out. also I need to quit procrastinating and send the old ones back.

I wondered why they wanted the old ones back, the tool I can understand.
I sent the old ones in a couple of days after I changed them out.

Just speculating, but they might want the bad parts back to submit to their supplier for credit. It might be a tax issue too. Either way it's nice they send you the new lock before receipt of the bad lock.

My tumbler was stuck in the dead bolt lock. The paddle handle tumbler popped right out. I worked the stuck tumbler for an hour with WD 40 and PB Blaster to no avail. I let it sit overnight and the following day it wiggled loose after some jiggling. I guess some of the tumblers were pretty frozen by dirt and crud.

This is good to see! Our brand new V-Lite has the same problem. I'll email the recall to the dealer and see what they say.
