Door Locks

We just bought a used 1997 Sandpiper. There were no owner manual or any king of information with it. Also we did not get the key to the dead bolt locks on the door. Where can we get keys for these? Are all keys the same for all models of these trailers or are they different? Any information sure would be appreciated.

You might have to check with your local locksmith to see what needs to be done with those locks.

Welcome Joyce. Today, the locks are fairly standard and your neighbor's keys will often unlock your trailer. I am not sure about the keys for a 1997 trailer.

Try the following:

A locksmith as suggested by mtnguy can replace the locks or possibly make keys.

Order new locks and replace yourself. This is very common and shouldn't be that difficult.

I had a recent problem with a deadbolt and ended up ordering a new lock/latch assembly from Fastec the manufacturer of my door latch. You may want to also check out rvlocksandmore.com
