Entrance Door

Just purchased a Sabre from Forest River and the door will not stay shut. We have slammed it shut only to look in the rear view mirror to see it has opened again. We have made sure the stairs are locked in the screen door is closed, nothing keeping it from latching. We even lock it and it will pop open. Help!!!!

Sounds like an alignment issue. On your door frame you have whats called a strike that your latch locks behind when the door is shut. You should be able to loosen strike and slide it slightly forward then tighten it back up again. If this is it then it's a 30 second fix. Keep us informed.

Trailer or motorhome.....once underway....both doors locked for security.

Regular lock and dead bolt. This way if one fails to latch, the other might keep it closed.

If you have one of those big D handles, you can swing it over the door as well.
