Entrance door windows

Just wondering why all the trailer door windows that we've seen are opaque? Is it possible to get clear glass for the doors?

why yes

Hello,
Why, yes, a lot of us have changed out our door glass from the opaque to dark tinted glass and what a difference it makes. Camping World sells the kit for $119.99, part no. 74221, and it ships from a third party in 2 boxes. The glass comes in one box and the tape and other stuff in another box. It took me about 45 minutes to put it in, not hard, but I was taking my time and making sure the sealant tape was done properly. It sure is nice seeing out that door now and at nite we use a reflective foil blind to cover it; we used Command stick on hooks on the door just above the glass and my wife taped cloth loops to the top of the reflective foil with velcro. All in all, a great project. Hope this helps. Pictures later when internet works better.

You could save some money by removing the frame and taking the textured glass to a glass shop (or a frame shop) and having a replacement cut for it.

On the other hand some folks do this:

You will want some sealant and an extra set of hands to put it back together with. The frames and glass will fall right out once the last screw is removed! Also an electric screwdriver may strip out the screw holes.

Pt1655. Thanks for the suggestion. We will look into that. We'll start with the bedroom door and if successful try the other door. I would love pictures if you get a chance. This forum is great. Always get helpful answers to my questions.
