Exterior Wall Gouges - What would you do?

So, long story short, the outside wall of my Sabre 36bhq has several gouges it in. About 16th of an inch deep and a out 1 foot long.

What would you do about it? Nothing looks exposed so I believe it's just cosmetic. I plan on washing it, waxing it and forgetting about it but would like the opinion of those on this forum.

Long story long is that I was dropping camper off at the farm where we store it. I've been there 100 times, so overly relaxed. I pulled the truck past the silos and then noticed an 18 wheeler in my way. To get around it, I'd have to swing it wide and go over an unmaintained area that I figured is full of nails and other things that might damage tire. With that on my mind, and the silos off my mind, I swung it wide...scratch....dragged the side across a silo. Some of the black trim is also scratched. I already put some rustoleum on that. Good reminder to not get too comfortable when towing.

Anyway, any advice on repair would be appreciated.

I used magic ezy hairline gelcoat repair after mishap with mailbox. Color match will be your biggest issue.

You can use bondo, filler, or fairing compound, Or you can use a slide hammer to pull out the crease. Paint matching may not be that hard, but would have to paint a large area to blend it in. The simple solution is to live with it.

I have read/heard about the gel coat repair. Supposedly put it on. Sand with ultra fine paper and buff out the scratches.

Road warrior

A tree jumped out and bit my old trailer a couple of years ago. I commiserated with a more experienced camper/traveller at my next stop. He sagely advised that these were the scars of a road warrior to be displayed with pride. I did nothing.

Just depends on how deep.

If through the gel coat and into the fiberglass then I'd be doing some kind of repair.
If just the gel coat is scratched then sealing it with some good wax might be enough.

We really can't see it from here.

Thanks for all the advice. I wont get back to the camper until the middle of next week. I'll share some picks then.

5Picker, can you tell me how to tell the difference between just into the gel coat or into the fiberglass? It just looks white to me.

Thanks again,

If into the fiberglass you'll see little fiberglass 'whiskers' in the gouge(s)

Thanks for the advice. I think I'm just going to live with the scars, I think. Here's a pic with a key to give it some perspective. This is one of 4 scratches, all of similar depth.
