External Switch for Awning
Have Rockwood 2608WS with switch for awning on control panel just inside front door. That is convenient under most circumstances but would also be beneficial to have an external switch.
For instance, should I be away from trailer and a sudden storm pops up there is absolutely no way for a CG neighbor or manager to retract the awning and protect it from strong winds. I watch the weather reports daily and retract if strong winds are predicted and have been fortunate so far.
Has anyone made a modification to have internal/external switches?
Do any manufacturers have this setup?
Advantages/ Disadvantages to having an external switch for awning?
Experienced RV'ers are known to be good neighbors and watch out for each other's "stuff". Seems like it would just make sense to make awning retraction accessible so they could help protect your RV IMO.
