front window fell right out

The front window on my new 2017 2104s Rockwood Mini fell right out. This is the big window in front of the trailer! We were lucky it was in out driveway , what would have happened if we driving? So if you have this type trailer check the window.

WOW!
Looks like the sealant on the frameless window never set properly.

But think of the air flow you'll get now.
The quality of these trailers has gotten to unbelievable levels.

I read somewhere that FR was going to add around 400 jobs early this year "to meet demand". Sounds like there could be a lot of people building these things who haven't got a whole lot of experience under their belts. I'm worried about this lack of quality control since we plan to buy our TT in the next month.

From the looks of your picture it looks like Hellen Heller did the install on the window frame, the black sealant looks really tacky.

"new 2017 2104s Rockwood Mini". To me those are the key words. Did you call the selling dealer to report this and if so, what have they done to help you?

Dealer was of great help in getting a replacement (had new one air freighted in next day at their cost). Forest River was useless never returned my calls , that service call center on their web site is a joke , I wanted to know if this was an on going problem , a very real safety issue.

Just to clarify....

The window fell out or fell in?

Is this an emergency escape window, fixed window or one that cranks open for ventilation?

I have the same large front window as you do. I am going to check the window when I get home to try and see if things look loose or are nice and tight. I am very glad you were not driving down the road when the window fell out. That could have ended badly for a number of people. Glad your dealer is doing the right thing in getting you a new window and hopefully getting it installed quickly.

Same TT w/ potentially the same problem

After our 'shake-down' 1st camping trip, we returned to our dealer. One of the we noted was that the seal was not installed correctly. The dealer either replaced it or managed to reinstall it correctly. BTW, ours is a 2016 model year.

There were other issues as well. Some I fixed the rest the dealer fixed—sort of. We also experienced a plumbing failure where a faulty crimp fitting failed under the lavatory. Forrest River grumbled but did (partially) reimburse the the out of state service call.

If we ever buy another FR TT or one from another manufacturer, the dealer will have to just 'put up with me', for I will go through it from stern to stern before accepting it.

My wife says I am too much of a perfectionist, however, she does appreciate the major addition to our home I designed and built for us.
