I use a soft extendable auto wash brush with RV wash from a step ladder. The underside can be done without the ladder. Once dry I use an auto windshield washer ( foam pad side) on an extension to apply Aerospace 303 every 3-4 washings.

How Do You Clean Your Awning

I used half bleach and half water. I had a spray bottle that sprays upside down. I sprayed sections of the awning, let it sit a few minutes, then used a sponge mop and bucket, and wiped it off. It came out perfectly white.

I may be wrong but I thought I read a tip here or somewhere else that one part bleach to 12 parts water worked well. As mentioned above, spray it on, let it set about 15 minutes and rinse it off. My memory of the 12:1 must be off a bit. Good luck. I will have to do mine, soon.

My awning instructions said quarter cup bleach and quarter cup dish liquid in 5 gal water. I used soft auto brush wit extension pole....works great. I do after every trip. Make sure you can let it dry before rolling up. Both sides

this may come across as a dumb question, but; will a bleach solution hurt the colors on a colored awning?

The bleach never effected the color and will prevent mildew. The directions come directly from the manufactuer manual that my dealer provided with my trailer, purchased new.

I can roll mine up dry and when it rains, it gets wet inside and mildews. Does yours stay dry inside? Cleaning lasts for a very short time because it rains a lot here.

I don't have much of a problem with that. I have seen where people modify litre soda bottles to fit overthe ends when it is rolled. I am sure somewhere on this forum you cn find instruction

I use Full Timers choice Awning cleaner. Put this in a 2 gallons pump sprayer. Spray both sides and then roll up for a few hours. Scrub with a car wash brush and it is clean.

I apply the bleach/soap solution with a window washing pad like this Unger Pro | 14 Inch Performance Grip Scrubber | Home Depot Canada on a long extension pole. After that, I use Hertel Plus and a Mr. Clean Magic Eraser to clean the remaining dirt and stains.

Bleach and water work for me. No particular ratio.

Palmolive Oxy dish soap and water. Any mildew gets treated with a 5:
1 water/bleach mix and rinsed with water.

Another vote for the bleach/water solution. After spraying it down I roll it up for about 15-20 minutes, then unroll and hose it off. Works great.

I use the siding mildew cleaner in the bottle you connect to a garden hose. Spray it on and rinse after 10 minutes.

I've been known to use my automotive soap or bleach and water mix if mildewy. No issues.
