Main door Friction Hinge

While some may like the new “friction hinge” main doors .... I hate it.
I have a 2021 Vibe 21BH with one of these doors.
Is there any way to eliminate the friction? Reduce it?

Thanks,
Russ

From some of the posts I have read on this type of hinge. It sounds like with use, open and close, wind opening and closing, it will loosen it up on it own.

With use ours got so loose I installed an old fashion door holder. The holder also won't let it slam shut in a wind.

True, the friction completely wears off after 6 months or so.

This Friction Hinge would NOT work along the East coast of the USA or the Gulf of Mexico! They do Help with "Door Slammer People" somewhat! We installed a Old Fashion T-bar stop! Youroo!!

I hope mine starts to free up sooner than later. I seems to cause a bit if stress on the door hinge wall. I guess for me its and age thing. I've had 3 RVs before this Vibe and all had 'normal' doors and two with latches like Cboss posted.

I had seen some posts when I Googled it on older (2018) and different brands that used 4 set screws in each hinge, those those were adjustable. You could loosen/eliminate the friction or even tighten/add friction. My doors appears to have steel pins pressed into the aluminum upper and lower hinges, not adjustable at all.

Thanks everyone for your comments.

I sprayed hinges with silicone spray and it helped as mine was doing same thing.
