MORryde review
I just installed moreryde quick connect steps. I have had lippert solid steps in the past and they were a bit of a pain. I was debating about step replacement on my new 2010 Coachmen Northridge. When we took it camping and ended up with the steps on a downward slope we could barely get in. We ended up using a chair or blocks to get to the bottom of the fold out steps. The door height is 40" on level ground. The slope added about 6". The fold out steps have 3 steps. It's a stretch.
I saw the quick connect steps and liked the idea better than the fold out steps. Our threshold is only 2" total, so I wasn't sure they would work. There are 2 brackets that attach. They installed relatively easily. I ended up putting the brackets partially under the aluminum sill plate and cutting out 2 small sections
Ions to give them room to attach properly. There is plenty of room for the door to close and the fold out steps can still be used when you disconnect the moreryde steps. The step height is much less now with 5 steps.
The downside is you have to store them somewhere. We are happy enough to stick them inside the doorway when traveling. You will still be able to get in and out and they are light enough that I can lift them with one hand, so I could attach the. By myself if I had to.
I am very happy with these so far. Going out over memorial day weekend, so we will see.
