Thought I'd share my new setup. On the last rig, I made an attached system using Old Coot's brackets. The new rig is so much taller that I decided to go another route.
Have used it a couple times so far in windy conditions and it is solid as a rock. It seems like the awning would pull off the trailer before the supports would give out. Hopefully, I'll never learn if that's true. The other thing I use that is not pictured is pool noodles over the straps to stop the wind vibration.
