If you have a remote for your lights and they were turned on/off with the remote, they need to be turned on/off with the remote on some units. Same with the manual switch.

Can you jump the wire and bypass the switch? if they light you know your switch is bad. If they do not start looking at places where the connections could have corroded from water or pinched wires.

Is your control panel the newer touch pad/screen or do you have old school rocker switches?

Is it a touch pad or a rocker switch?

Hi doc it’s the new touch pad ..I was thinking if I take it off I could ck behind it but not sure how to take it off.. I also ck the wires from the lights and followed them down to under the Rv .. didn’t see any problem.. but can’t see where they go from there..

I'm not sure what kind of servicing you can do on a touchpad other than replacement. If you can remove the face and get access to it you might be able to find the pressure contacts and clean them. But more than likely if a touchpad is bad it may need a replacement to correct the issue. I'm not as familiar with touch pads but typically they have little pressure-sensitive microswitches behind the rubber face plate that you see.

The touchpad control interfaces with a bank of relays that ultimately control the end device.

This bank of relays is located various places in various models. Some are near the control panel but I've seen some located behind the fireplace.
Some models the relay is close to whatever it is operating. They do this so heavy gauge wiring doesn't have to be run from the source to the control panel and back to the destination.

If you are handy at electrical troubleshooting you may be able to pinpoint your problem but its going to take some effort above sticking a test lead on the back of a rocker switch.

I might have read it wrong but it sounds like he's narrowed it down possibly to just the switch itself? Never really gave it much thought on how to actually troubleshoot the switch itself or have to try to fix the switch..

Not being smart but is the controls all built into the head unit of the switch array?
