Older Awning parts question

I had moved an awning from an old camper onto a newer one. Now after a few years I have an issue. The button that pops out to lock the awning arm in place is failing to pop back out. I have made sure it is not out of alignment. I tried to order a replacement handle but the old one hooked onto the bottom of the upper arm where the replacement that I got sits into a rectangular cutout in the arm. Can I get just the replacement push button or can I just replace the spring and then re rivet it back on? I think the Dometic part number is 830023.001

Thanks for any helpful advice
