Opps!!

Had plates fall out of cabinet and broke kitchen window, only inner of double pane. This is a horizontal slider window. The broken section is the fixed half, not the operable one. What do I do. Factory, glass shop, replace whole unit or just broken section.

IMHO a local glass shop will likely get it done 5-6 weeks faster than waiting on the factory and the dealer you would use.

You may want to check a local glass repair shop.

My neighbor shot a rock into his back sliding glass door, breaking the outer glass, and a local glass company came to his house and replaced it. (Wasn't cheap but it was a big window.)

Most glass repair folks do mobile repair, so that's a plus.

Sorry about the bad luck; sounds like something I would do.
Another good reason to use paper or styrofoam plates.

Well, it's not to late you could go ahead and take it to the dealer.
