Puncture Repairs

This weekend, we had a wind-induced failure of the Dometic awning on our popup. During the failure, we received 4 small punctures. To give an idea of size...I could not put a pencil thru any of them. I was thinking about trying to seal the punctures with either epoxy or clear caulk (which would tend to flex more easily). I don't want to apply patches on such small holes.

Does anyone have any other suggestions?

With the flex I do not think even the caulk or epoxy will stay. They make awning tape that resembles packing tape. Sometimes you just have to use the wheel and not reinvent.

I've used "Tear Aid.." It is a 2" wide tape. Type A works on fabric, metal, wood. Type B is specifically for vinyl. I got it from Amazon.
