Replacement Entry Lock

Does anybody know of a replacement entry door lock/handle set that lets you lock the handle from the inside?
2019 Cardinal has the standard lock handle with the red deadbolt latch on the bottom inside to lock the deadbolt from the inside.

The thing is, you can lock the handle with the key from the outside and then lock the deadbolt with the key from the outside giving a double locking point.
However, when locking from the inside all you can do is flip the red deadbolt handle, leaving the latch handle unlocked,
If somebody outside grabbed the handle it would only be locked by the deadbolt. Since the deadbolt is that crappy potmetal, it could pretty easily snap off, allowing somebody to just open the latch.

If somebody wants to get in that bad, they will. It's just an RV door. I'm willing to bet I can open any one of them with a big screwdriver.

Try rvlock.com. They have several and you can get one that can lock both inside. You can also get a touch pad or wireless fob to open the door if you like. It is a higher quality than the standard on the trailers.

Or just punch through the door which is what someone did to my class A. I wish they broke the lock.

RV's give people a false sense of security. But I got one so wife would agree to go camping with me, as she rightfully believes our habit of camping in tents like we used to can make you the soft taco of the bear world.

I would never show her this pic. This is how easily a bear can get through your door. Best to speak softly and carry a big stick.

Thanks.
I looked and it doesn't seem like they have inside locking. I did send them an email so I will find out for sure from them.

It's like changing out locks on the pass thru storage to stop thieves. Was going to change them out until I realized that anything they would want to steal was all set up outside for us to use - no need to break into the pass thru. So I got a 100 pound dog that takes his job very serious!

Only time stuff is in pass thru is when its parked in my driveway.

Got an email from RVLock and they said none of their locks have indoor handle locking capability.

6 months after I bought our 31BH Sprinter Select someone broke into the rear storage area and took out the broom we stored back there. They then proceeded to use the broom to pry open the bathroom door. All to get my 20 inch TV. To make matters worse instead of leaving the way they came they kicked open the front door so they could get out. They will get what they want.

On our Lacrosse we can lock the handle with the key, enter trailer and close door then lock deadbolt. Handle will be locked from outside but will open from inside. I think that the inside handle must work from inside when locked to prevent someone from being trapped inside.

Where I live, the "big stick" is a 12 GA pump with slugs.

I was about to ask about this and will have to give it a try. The only downside I could see is forgetting to unlock this while keys are on the counter and door slams shut while you are outside. That could be a bit of a problem.

Heard that! Alaskans have a different definition of triggered. Up here, If you're not prepared and ol' fuzzy face comes around, you might be a story on the 6 o'clock news. We lost a "naive hiker" to a bear a week before Thanksgiving. Sometimes you eat the bear, sometimes the bear eats you.

Put a hide-a-key somewhere. Problem solved!

I always have a set of extra keys in the TV, and I carry a plain flat cut key in my wallet that will open the door on the TV if needed.
