Rockwood 8319SS windows

I would like to turn the windows in my atrium slide upside down so they open at the top rather than the bottom. Why? So I can open the windows at night and not have to worry about animals or people tearing the screen or cutting it to gain entry. I also think it would provide better air circulation when the weather is nice. I realize I would probably have to put some sort of prop under the top pane to keep them from falling open while towing.
Has anyone out there tried this and how much trouble was it?
