Shades falling from rollers

We have an Arctic Wolf 305ML6 5th wheel with pull down roller shades. We have an issue with the shades coming "unglued" from the roller and falling onto the floor, particularly as we pull the fiver out of storage. We are now prepping for a trip out west which will be even hotter than here in Missouri. We have three shades that now need to be repaired or fastened back onto the rollers (the mechanisms seem to be okay). We disagree as to what to do. Can we use a strong tape (i.e., Gorilla tape, etc.) to fasten the shades to the functional rollers and still have them work, or will the tape be too thick or heavy to work?

We figure we need them to help control the temperature in the rig, let alone for the privacy.

Any suggestions will be appreciated.

My thought is that gorilla tape or similar would work just fine. I would suggest about normal 1 and 1/2 to two inch tape would be just the ticket here. You can fix anything with duct tape.

I had a problem with the Slow-Rise Roller Shades falling out of the holding brackets. My
shades were not put up with double sided tape or glue. The problem is the plastic holding clips broke. These shades are in a 2016 Forest River MBS SunSeeker 2400 WS. I found the brackets I need at Irving Shade and Door.com/Support/Replacement-parts. In my case it is a #5 Large "L" Bracket. I telephoned the company at 574-522-1446 and they are sending replacement brackets at NO COST! YaBa DaBa Doo !!! Niels Jensen

Same experience here. The folks at Irvine were really nice and helpful. Sent me some brackets free of charge also.

My roller shades were mounted with plastic brackets. The brackets broke after several years of bouncing down our wonderful rough roads. I contracted the roller shade manufacturer (website is on the shade) and they sent me new brackets. I suggest you contact them for suggestions. It will be good for them to learn that their mounting system is not adequate.
